Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 and received great reviews from both music bloggers as well as from the media. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding a piano hidden in the attic of her home, then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to do music just to have fun or to aid in growth but rather, she should pursue it. In the end, she began to write songs of her own. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her that her songs would not just help her achieve fame but also make others see their significance to the world and appreciate how they can benefit from them, she decided to begin performing publicly. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and began writing music when she was nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she was fourteen. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims that she likes to write songs. She believes that music can help anyone feel better.
